UNH in Stamford offers the MBA program for executives
Staying ahead of the competition in today's business world requires
up-to-date information, sharp decision-making skills, and effective
networking. At the University of New Haven, the Master of Business
Administration Program for Executives (EMBA) confers all of these
essentials, making it the program of choice for full-time managers
and professionals in Connecticut. The program is distinguished from
all others by its flexible schedule, convenient location,
experienced faculty, real-world curriculum, individualized career
coaching, and powerful alumni network.
Flexibility and convenience make the program unique. It is the only
one in Connecticut that meets once a week, on a weekday or Saturday,
and is structured to allow full-time managers and professionals to
earn the degree without career interruption in just 21 months
(weekday option) or 24 months (Saturday option). New classes begin
in February and September of each year.
UNH has offered the program in Stamford since 1980. Classes meet in
a prime downtown location, in the heart of the city's business and
financial district, an added convenience for those working in the
Stamford/Danbury area or New York City. (The program is also
available at our main campus in West Haven.)
Our faculty members, distinguished scholars and leading
practitioners from the business world, have extensive academic and
real-world business experience. They provide our students with a
comprehensive perspective on business in both theory and practice.
The program's teaching methods stress interactive learning, and this
approach is powerfully enriched by the shared experience, energy,
and imagination of the students themselves.
This past June, for example, Roger Ratzenberger and Don Williams,
both recent graduates, achieved the highest possible status, that of
grand champion, in the 2005 Business Strategy Invitational. An
online simulation in which students from all over the world compete
against one another in managing a fictional company, the competition
is an extension of a business simulation course taken during the
last semester of the program. Ratzenberger and Williams beat out
hundreds of competitors from over 200 universities worldwide to
finish as two of only ten grand champions internationally, an
achievement of which their university is understandably very proud.
Such real-life application of what is learned creates an immediate
springboard for lasting success. Students continue to work while
learning, gaining knowledge and insight both from faculty and from
each other. What is learned is brought back into the workplace and
implemented. Those who complete the program have mastered the
fundamentals of business-world success.
Explore the opportunity to earn your MBA in just 21 to 24 months,
attending just one day a week. We have designed our program for busy
professionals who want the benefits of the degree without having to
give up work and family. If you have an undergraduate degree and
five or more years of business or professional experience with some
management responsibility, you may qualify for admission. Acquire
the knowledge. Access the network. Make the decision to look into
UNH's MBA Program for Executives, and the competitive advantage can
be yours.
